Bespoke is an entirely original British concept. The term is generally more prevalent in British English; for example, “bespoke jewellery”. Bespoke is an adjective for anything commissioned to a particular specification. It may be altered or tailored to the customs, tastes, or usage of an individual purchaser. “The word bespoke is derived from the verb to bespeak, meaning to “speak for something”. Oxford Dictionary “to speak for, to arrange for, engage beforehand: to ‘order’ (goods)”. The adjective “bespoken” means “ordered, commissioned, arranged for” and is first cited from 1607.

Bespoke Service

Johnny has been specialising in bespoke work since he finished his apprenticeship, he has created for icons of fashion, film, & music producing some amazing pieces with his hands and with the collaborative inspiration of these individuals. His passion has always been realised more effectively when taking ideas and inspiration from others. Bespoke creations can culminate in fantastic almost unreal work, but he takes a deep pleasure in personal commissions.

Jewellery is about sentiment and marking occasion. Long after the catwalk pieces have been archived, a wedding or engagement ring designed with his collaborating clients will be bringing pleasure and joy to the individuals and Johnny loves the involvement in such historic personal moments.

Bespoke jewellery is the ultimate sentimental item, whether commissioning an exclusive engagement, unique wedding ring or an heirloom, Johnny’s bespoke designs will be treasured for a lifetime. Because of his bespoke work, Johnny has built up an enviable reputation within British luxury jewellery, and for 20 years he has been designing jewellery pieces for individuals who are drawn to his unique style and his commitment to the highest level of skill and client care. Rock, pop stars, fashion designers, and creative icons may all be loyal customers but they receive the same considered thoughtful personal service as a teacher or nurse. Everyone has a right to the best possible effort from Johnny Rocket, and the unique experience is one that will be with you for the rest of your life

If you need to mark a special occasion, a memorable 21st birthday present, or just a heartfelt present for someone paramount in your life, Johnny’s bespoke jewellery designs and service offer a variety of options. If you can imagine it Johnny can design and make it.

Johnny’s bespoke jewellery design service is a fulfilling personal journey, with imagination and craftsmanship at its heart. Celebrate your relationship or capture a memorable moment, Johnny will transform your personal vision into a treasured memento.

BEGINNING THE PROCESS

I can work with images drawings or just an idea. I will ask you assemble a little mood board (using Pinterest is a great tool), assembling images of jewellery that inspires you, clothing, anything inspirational to use as a starting point.

REMODELLING, RENOVATIONS, RESTORATIONS OR REPAIRS.

You may have an heirloom, which has become tired and in need of love and rejuvenation. These pieces of jewellery bring a great deal of joy to me. Like a beautiful classic car that’s been rescued, estate and historic jewellery carries so much love and sentiment it deserves the best and I relish the challenges of bringing any jewellery back to life, so it can be loved by successive generations and not lost. If you have your own stone or want that ring of grandmother’s remodelled into a more contemporary design, just email me and I will be happy to guide you through the possibilities.

SHAPED TO FIT

With this service I can shape almost any wedding ring to fit perfectly next to your engagement ring. I will need your engagement ring to use as a guide during this process. I know how valuable your engagement ring is so it will be more secure and cared for than the pieces I make and create. It will be fully insured and locked up tight when not being used to create your new wedding band. I will return it by secure insured courier as soon as I have mapped the shape for the new ring. I want to get it back where it belongs as soon as possible.

CONCEPT

I promise I will design an amazing piece of jewellery unique to you. No teams of in-house jewellery designers, you will work with me using your ideas to create something especially for you. I want to bring the personal touch of my former high street retail gallery to the internet.

I will need your help with metal type, size, images and extra design details, I am not here to force my ideas on you. I will guide you and give you constructive and considered guidance to enable you to decide what you want. Its half the fun of this process, hearing what your aspirations and ideas are.

DESIGN PROCESS

The initial consultation with me is completely FREE and I will always provide you with a no-obligation estimate before the design starts. I only ask that you include as much information as possible in your initial e-mail.

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

The development of your design may include drawings which I prefer to CAD design, but in some circumstances this is an unavoidable option. When you and I have agreed the final design, and receipt of a 50% deposit. I will start making your bespoke piece. This design stage is generally through email and phone communication; but a personal consultation over a glass of wine in Greenwich is always a pleasurable option subject to my availability of appointments.

YOUR BESPOKE RING

The very nature of a bespoke ring is that it will be created especially for you and therefore will be completely unique. By putting your own ideas, whether they be personal or consolidating a number of ideas from other designs, will create a unique ring which is special to you.
