Jamiroquai’s Sunshine Warrior Headdress

Found these in the archive box of old Polaroids (how we used to diarist projects before digital). The lower one is the final piece which Jay loaned back to me for a huge exhibition of my work for catwalk, music, & film which Swarovski put on in their corporate HQ on 5th avenue. I went to NYC with my mate Owen Gastor, foregoing first class for 1 in favour of coach for the 2 of us. No point not having a pal to rip up the town with. We had to do a lot of presentations for Swarovski, Press and Parsons School of Design students. We had some memorable big nights out, remember saying hello to Elizabeth Taylor & David Guest at some mad ass bling upmarket restaurant, but our best one was at Beige @ B-Bar in the Bowery where all the crowd were in awe of Pamela Anderson bump n grinding on a table whilst Kid Rock looked on less than amused. Then we ended up at some bar in the Lower East side watching the Yeah Yeah yeahs talking to “Handsome” Dick Manitoba from The Dictators, who has a fab Tiki Bar down there to this day. It was quite a hoot
